The beauty of butterflies will return to White River Gardens this spring as Butterfly Kaleidoscope presented by Citizens Energy Group March 17 – September 10. Following a year-long hiatus, hundreds of these wonderful winged insects will once again fill the Hilbert Conservatory, surrounding visitors in swirls of floating color.
This year’s exhibit will feature 30 brand new native and exotic species, including the tailed jay and the silver spotted flambeau, as well as several more familiar favorites, including the stunning blue morpho. Each day, newly hatched butterflies will be released from the emergence chamber near the center of the Conservatory, where guests can learn all about their incredible metamorphosis and witness the breath-taking adventure as the butterflies take their first flight.Find out more
